Buying jeans online is easy once you know what to check. Most fit problems come down to three spots: the waist, the thigh and the length. Get those right and the cut takes care of the rest.
How jeans should fit
Waist
Jeans should sit comfortably at your waist without a belt doing all the work. You should be able to slide two fingers into the waistband, no more. Even with baggy jeans, the waist should fit. The room belongs in the leg.
Seat and thigh
For straight and baggy fits, the fabric should fall from the seat without pulling or wrinkling across the front. For flares, a closer fit through the thigh is normal. That contrast is what makes the flare open up below the knee.
Length
For streetwear, jeans should be long enough to stack, meaning a little extra fabric bunches above your shoes. Our jeans are cut with long inseams on purpose. If you prefer a clean break, a tailor can take them up easily. Making jeans longer is much harder, so longer is the safer choice.
How to measure yourself at home
- Waist: measure around your waist where you normally wear your jeans, keeping the tape flat.
- Compare with a pair you love: lay your best-fitting jeans flat and measure straight across the waistband, then double it.
- Weight and height: our size chart also lists weight and height ranges, which is a quick check if you do not have a tape measure.

Between two sizes?
- Want a baggy, stacked look? Take the bigger size and wear a belt.
- Want a cleaner fit? Take the smaller size, especially in flares.
- Strong thighs? Choose straight or baggy cuts, or size up in flares.
